The cabochons were made in Germany in the 1950s and have a molded starburst pattern. The transparent red or green colored glass has a foil back, which makes them shiny and gorgeous. As cliché as it sounds, they're so much prettier in person. I've set them in serrated bezels on sterling silver posts and oxidized the settings to give them a dark shine. They measure about 1/4" in diameter and stick out about 3/8".

These earrings will ship all boxed up and ready to be given as a gift (or kept). The last photo shows my packaging (earrings not included, of course).
