I've sawn a swallow silhouette from sterling silver sheet then soldered it to a frame of beaded wire. I've added one of my little fine silver roses and a couple leaves of twisted wire at the bottom of the frame. I've oxidized the entire thing and buffed it a bit, making the details stand out. The pendant is about an inch in diameter and hangs from a chain in the length of your choice.
"True hope is swift, and flies with swallow's wings ..." --William Shakespeare, Act 5 of Richard III I might be a cat lady, but I find barn swallows utterly charming. They migrate but return to the same nest year after year, which made them a symbol of hope and renewal. I adore this necklace and I'm sure you will too.
The necklace ships all boxed up and ready for gift giving (or gift keeping). The last photo shows my packaging; earrings not included, of course.
